Scott A. Lisgar was born in Springfield, PA and grew up in Bucks County, PA. He graduated from Council Rock High School in 1991 and from West Chester University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (dual Majors in Business and Finance). Thereafter, he attended law school at Widener University School of Law and graduated in 1998 achieving a Juris Doctor degree. Since then, he has focused his practice on family law. He has been a partner of Keller, Lisgar & Williams, LLP since its formation in 2003.

He has a proven track record of successful cases ranging from simple dissolutions with few issues through complex cases requiring protracted trials. He spends each day in the common pleas courts throughout Delaware, Philadelphia, Chester, Bucks and Montgomery Counties litigating family law matters. He strives to be the area’s most effective family lawyer by achieving good results efficiently and keeping his clients well informed about what is happening in his/her case.

For the past 27 years, Scott has practiced primarily in the area of Family Law.  He also taught at the University of Delaware for nearly 10 years.  Frequently, he is asked to lecture in the area of Family Law to other attorneys fulfilling their continuing legal education requirements.

Scott is married and has two adult boys.  His oldest son is an Officer in the United States Army and his younger son recently finished his undergraduate degree on a Division I football scholarship and looks forward to attending law school.  Scott remains very active and enjoys skiing and competing in triathlons.  In 2012, he was an IRONMAN finisher in Louisville, Kentucky.

Scott is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Delaware County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Delaware County Family Bar Division and the Doris Jonas Inn of Court. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1998) and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania (1999).

Scott has been recurrently featured in Philadelphia Magazine’s “Super Lawyers”, Main Line Today, “Top Lawyers Edition”, Suburban Life/Philadelphia Life Magazine’s “Top Attorneys Edition” and was named to Doyle’s Guide list of “Leading Philadelphia Matrimonial Lawyers” for 2026.
