The term wrongful death applies to a circumstance where another person or entity is responsible for one’s death. The actions of that third party (person or entity) may have been negligent, reckless, or intentional. The death may have been due to medical malpractice, a car accident, a fatal brain or spinal cord injury, a defective drug, nursing home abuse or neglect, a construction accident, SUV rollover, slip and fall and more.

Pennsylvania has its own laws regarding the circumstances under which a family member may sue. Additionally, it is often the case that Estates need to be raised and Administrators appointed by a Judge.
